Balham area guide

Balham is buzzing with independent boutiques, cafes, coffee shops and happening restaurants. It has a slightly more relaxed, village feel than neighbouring Clapham and Brixton, but with enough going on to satisfy everyone's interests. Transport links are excellent, with both London Underground (Northern Line) and National Rail services from Balham Station. The green, open spaces of Tooting, Clapham and Wandsworth Common are all within walking distance. Add to this a strong community spirit and some great local schools, and it's clear to see why Balham has twice been named in The Sunday Times' list of Best Places to Live!
